How to Install dds2tar software package in Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus)

dds2tar software package provides Tools for using DDS features of DAT drives with GNU tar, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install dds2tar

dds2tar is installed in your system.

Make ensure the dds2tar package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dds2tar *

You will get with dds2tar package name, version, architecture and description in a table
